My point of view.

One aspect that a person would not be able to see just by looking at me would be that I love reading. In other words literature and I are one. During my free time you would most likely find me  immersed in a book and in the other hand find a cup of coffee ( hot or iced depending on the day). Reading may be perceived by others as boring and also as a burden. But to me it is fascinating to be involved in a text and become caught up in a different reality.
I have a wide range of genre preferences. I don't like to exclude and not pick up a book just because it looks unfamiliar or is out of the range of my previous preferences. Sometimes when I read I feel as if I have entered a personal bubble. The outside world for the time being is no longer my concern. Occasionally I come across books that truly have a potent effect on me and it makes me question my environment. It offers a different insight on a certain matter and although sometimes it is depressing to realize that there is much injustice in this world, things could always get better with the use of a strong mind set and the ability to strive for change.

  1. April, there are so many books and so little time! Thanks for sharing more about yourself. Experiencing the lives of others through literature is one of the most direct ways (however indirect the medium is) to learn about humanity.
